Marshall Apebob
The Marshall ApeBob R 18 Custom was commissioned by BMW Motorrad UK and built by Pier City Customs to utilise the range of accessories on offer from BMW Motorrad and highlighting the iconic Ape Hanger handlebar design.
The Inspiration
The inspiration behind Marshall ApeBob was for BMW Motorrad UK to create a modest custom using BMW Original Accessories showcasing the beauty of our Apehanger handlebars.
This R 18 custom was commissioned by BMW Motorrad UK and designed and created by the team at Pier City Customs who took the modest brief and excelled by producing the stunning bike you see today.
We all know Marshall for their stunning sound systems, and we love that these speakers are standard on the R18 Bagger and R18 Transcontinental. We wanted to celebrate this relationship by giving our custom a stripped back Marshall makeover using their stunning black and gold brand colours to make our Marshall ApeBob a work of art.

1.5” Handlebar Risers
Bobber Kit
Icon Cast Iron Front and Rear rims (custom powder coating/painted)
As you take in the full beauty of this modest custom you will note the attention to detail taken by Pier City from the beautifully upholstered single seat down, with Marshall cab speaker inspired finish, to hidden Marshall logos under the pearlescent paintwork being used throughout the build.
What started out as a simple brief to create a bike showing off our Apehangers has resulted in a sexy, sleek, and opulent R18 ApeBob that is just stunning.
